What one thing are you most proud of in your 98 years?
I’m most proud of taking a girl back from a dance. It was the early 30s and we were at a Saturday Night Hop at a place called Bob’s. It turned out to be the best day of my life. We became best friends and were happily married with a beautiful family.
What one thing do you want to achieve before you reach 100?
Before I’m 100 I’d just like to keep breathing. And get the dishes done.
What one thing have you seen that has most changed the world?
The thing that I’ve seen that changed the world most significantly was the downfall of Hitler.
What one piece of advice would you give your ten year old self?
Walk tall, walk straight, and look the world straight in the eye. Be straight with everyone. Then you can look everyone in the eye.
