Tell us a little bit about Lavere (from daughter, Ellen):
My father was in the Pacific theatre during WWII, and he photographed much of what went on… horrific and heroic. He has all of these photos (developed in the jungles, using his helmet as a sink) in a box, put away. I saw a few when I was younger, but he likes to try and forget…. so they stay put away.
What one thing are you most proud of in your 90 years?
I am proud to have a wonderful wife for 67 years, a beautiful daughter and am proud to have served my country for 4 years in WWII
What one thing do you hope to achieve by the age of 100?
I hope to still be alive!
What one thing do you think has changed the world most significantly in your lifetime?
I think the computer has had the most impact on today’s world
What piece of advice would you give your 10 year old self?
Get a good education and work hard
