Tell us a little bit about yourself:
My name is Domenica Gatti but everybody I have always called me NINI.
I’m 69 I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren and I live few kilometers outside of Milan.
Since the age of 14 I had to do with needle, thread and fabric, I created a lot of clothes for me, my children and my grandchildren.
After retirement I have continued to dedicate occasionally to the profession of dressmaker, working with major fashion houses in Italy and teaching tailoring in few courses.
To me a real passion.
Another great passion is outdoors walking: I can’t give up, especially in the mountains!
What one thing are you most proud of in your 69 years so far?
One thing that makes me proud so far is being able to get by with just my strength without asking anything to anybody
What one thing do you hope to do before you’re 100 years old?
I hope to make a nice trip, although at my age thinking of Africa is pure
What do you feel is the most significant thing that has changed in the world during your lifetime?
The World itself is changed, since 1968 I do not find more people to value and also the lives of people seem to be worthless.
What one piece of advice would you give your 10 year old self?
To think more as a child and not as an adult
