Tell us a little about yourself:
I’m living in the outskirts of Frankfurt a bit away from the madding crowd as they say.
In my professional life I’m an independent insurance broker with many interests as they are travel, photography which is my great enthusiasm , books and the movies!
Especially the old film noir movies and other classics. Not so much into modern productions though, prefer French ones there.
I’m active in the social life of the community being chairman of the board of a choir nearby where I sing as a tenor.
What one thing are you the most proud of in your years?
Have two lovely grown up children, daughter who is a teacher in primary school and a son who is on his doctorate in machine engineering.
So you could say this is and has been my greatest joy in life to have brought up and educated them and sent them on their way in life.
And if you can say honestly to be proud of something this is my joy and pride.
What one thing would you like to achieve before you reach 100 years old?
As to what I plan to have achieved becoming a hundred there are lots of places in the world I intend to travel to until then and hope to leave with a smile amid friends.
What one thing have you seen in your life time that has changed the world the most significantly?
As having taken part myself in the world of the Internet having pioneered in the mid nineties as a sysop of Compuserve I see that has changed the world the most in past decades.
The ability to communicate on a world level is what changed us most IMO, and the world will grow together even more as the means to communicate will evolve more and more and I will embrace that in the future as I have in the immediate past.
What piece of advice would you give to your 10 year old self?
To my 10 year old self I would advise to study hard and find the self you are sooner than I have and live life to the fullest in taking into account its only very transitory. No regrets for mistakes as they are the path to fulfillment.
